An active quality procedure |

The C.A.L. is conscious about present and future stakes.This is why by
combining all the sectors in the company, from production of the milk to the
sale / marketing of the products going by manufacturing and maturing,
a quality chain has been set up to guarantee you the best service around
the main product : the Munster Géromé
A few concrete actions :
At the raw material stage
An improvement plan has been installed in order to control all the factors
that could influence the quality of the milk at the farm.
At present we are taking the necessary steps in order to obtain the
AgriConfiance standard.
At the elaboration of the cheeses stage ( collection of milk => packaging )
The CAL has also taken some steps towards Quality Insurance responding
to the ISO 9002 standard, which represents the model of quality system
in production.
Today these efforts have been beared their fruits: after the certification of
its activities of maturing, of packaging and marketing of the munster géromé
in October 1995, the activities uphill of production (collecting milk, manufacturing
and sale of munster paste) has been certified in April 1998.
In March 2001, the certification ISO 9002 has been renewed to the whole
of the CAL's activities.

At the controls' stage
The C.A.L. de Blâmont guarantees a very strict
service on the health plan at all the various stages
of manufacture using very advanced techniques
(research of Listeria at all the stages of manufacture)
Moreover the lab is part of "Cécalait",
a chain of laboratories.

The Munster Géromé "Val de Weiss" : an original cheese with
a local accent is valued well beyond the French border.
|
|
The C.A.L. was one of the first maufacturers of Munster Géromé in France.
Besides it brand "Val de Weiss", the CAL also works for big distribution brands.
The company exports its munstersto numerous European countries (for instance
to Great-Britain, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Italie,
Sweden and Norway) as well as outside Europe to Canada and Japan.
This activity represents an always increasing parts of its turnover.
To progress in France and internationally to enable people to discover our
Munster is our priority.
